Team Building with Paellas: an original way to bring teams together

Are you tired of the usual team building activities and looking for a different proposal for your company? At Original Paella, we invite you to change the routine for a much more fun, participative and, above all, very Valencian experience: a team building with paellas.
This activity combines gastronomy, friendly competition and teamwork. Participants are divided into groups, put on their aprons and compete to make the best paella of the day, always guided by our team of rice masters.
More than cooking, it is about sharing an experience capable of improving communication, strengthening collaboration and creating a shared memory among colleagues.
What does the paella team building consist of?

The format is simple. Participants are organised into teams of approximately 6 to 10 people. Each group has its own cooking station, equipped with a paella pan, paella burner, gas, utensils, ingredients and everything needed to prepare an authentic paella.
In addition, each team has a small guide with the main steps of the recipe, designed both for beginners and for those who have already cooked paella before.
Throughout the activity, our rice masters explain the process, answer questions and supervise the cooking so that everyone can enjoy the experience safely and confidently.
A healthy and fun competition
The competition element is one of the most special parts of the event. Each team must organise itself, distribute tasks, control the timing and make decisions to achieve the best possible paella.
At the end of the cooking process, the jury tastes the paellas and chooses the winning team. The prize-giving can be adapted to each company, from a simple recognition to personalised trophies or paella packs for the winners.
This friendly competition turns the activity into a dynamic, participative and very entertaining experience.
Much more than a company meal

A paella team building is an original alternative to traditional company dinners or corporate meals. Instead of sitting directly at the table, participants take part in the whole process: they cook, collaborate, have fun and finally enjoy the paella they have prepared.
That is why it is one of those group activities that works especially well for companies that want to do something different and organise a more relaxed, informal and memorable day.
Cooking naturally helps work on key aspects such as communication, cooperation, organisation and trust within the team.
Paella as the main attraction

The activity mainly revolves around authentic Valencian paella, prepared following the traditional recipe. Paella is a dish made to be shared, enjoyed together and eaten in good company, which makes it a perfect fit for the spirit of team building for companies.
However, each event can be adapted to the needs of the group. We also offer the possibility of preparing other versions, such as vegetable, fish or seafood paellas, depending on gastronomic preferences, intolerances or dietary restrictions.
Where can it be held?
We can organise the team building with paellas in different locations: at the company’s own premises, in hotels, estates, private spaces or venues prepared for events.
If the event takes place in Valencia, we also have partner venues with special rates, such as beach clubs, Mediterranean gardens, traditional Valencian spaces or even fallas clubhouses.
The idea is to adapt the activity to the type of company, number of attendees and style of event to be organised.
What does the activity include?
The activity includes everything necessary so that the company does not have to worry about the organisation:
Ingredients to prepare the paella.
Paella pans, paella burners, legs and gas.
Cooking utensils.
Support tables.
Assembly and dismantling.
Cleaning of the material used.
Disposable tableware for the meal.
Supervision by monitors and rice masters.
In addition, extra options can be added, such as drinks, appetisers, desserts, coffees, personalised aprons, chairs, trophies or prize packs for the winning team.
How long does the event last?
The usual duration of the activity is around 3 and a half hours. Normally, around 2 hours are dedicated to cooking and the development of the competition, and at least 1 additional hour to enjoy the meal.
Even so, the schedule can be adapted to the needs of each company or combined with other corporate activities.
An experience that leaves a mark
The team building with paellas is a different way to bring a team together, encourage participation and create a closer atmosphere among colleagues.
At Original Paella, we take care of preparing the ingredients, equipment, organisation and supervision of the event so that participants only have to enjoy, cook and share.
Because when a team cooks together, it also learns to work together.
