Description

The mortar and pestle is a white clay mortar with yellow enamel finishes, accompanied by a wooden pestle. Typical of Spanish kitchens, almost every kitchen has one. Its ideal use is for the preparation of traditional sauces, such as garlic oil or aioli or the grinding of saffron for use in paella. It has a suitable size for preparing sauces for the whole family.

The ceramic mortar is heavy and solid, so it remains stable when you use the pestle to create sauces and spice mixes. In turn, the sauce mortar has a spout in one of the corners, which makes it easy to empty the contents.

The yellow glaze is durable and bright, lead-free and suitable for use in food. The beech wood mallet is made from a solid piece of wood and is shaped appropriately for grip.

The mortar and pestle for paella is especially suitable for making alioli or garlic-oil (see recipe), which is the perfect companion for our arroz a banda (see recipe) or paellas.
